Walking, Riding, Scooting and Loving our Streets

Posted on 19 May 2016

There are two green things to add to your calendar this week to help us help the planet:

1. Walk, Ride or Scoot to School Day!

Friday 20 May - before school bell

Leave the car at home and enjoy a fun and fruity start to Friday with your friends. Walking, riding or scooting to school not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but it helps our environment.

2. Love Our Streets 3184

Saturday 21 May - 9.30am

Our next street clean-up is this Saturday morning. The area around the shops on the corner of Glenhuntly; Ormond Road and Broadway will be getting our love. Meet Jill from LOS3184, members of the Green Team, parents and students outside the church at 9.30am. Don't forget to bring gardening gloves and a bag to collect the rubbish.

And remember - we are always keen to hear your thoughts and suggestions on green events and waste/litter activities that we are involved with in the Elwood community and at school, so please pass them onto the Green Team.

What our parents & students say

"I have been a part of the St Columba's community now for over 30 years. First as a pupil, then as a staff member at Before and After School Care, and now as a parent. My children are thriving here now just as I did."
