Sustainable Schools Festival

Posted on 11 September 2019

Worms wonderful Worms!! Last Thursday the Year 6 Sustainability Leaders presented their amazing worm game at the Sustainable Schools Festival at St Kilda Town Hall. Their worm game called, Wormopoly was a big hit with the other schools and they loved learning about the importance of having worms in your garden. The day was fun filled and after they presented they got to experience many other groups presentations. The Climate Change Choir wowed the crowd with their Port Phillip Bay song and had everyone singing along. St Columba's won the Bay Leadership Green Thumb award at the presentation. We finished the day with a trip to the Eco Centre where we made salad using produce from the garden, met some wildlife and created some Eco songs. It was a fabulous day!!

What our parents & students say

"I have been a part of the St Columba's community now for over 30 years. First as a pupil, then as a staff member at Before and After School Care, and now as a parent. My children are thriving here now just as I did."
