Our bird garden is starting to take shape!
16 August 2018
On Wednesday 8 August we were back in the garden again with our Eco Warriors putting their green thumbs to work planting our new bird garden (located outside the front of the school).

Locally indigenous tubestock with Boon Wurrung significance was planted to develop a supporting habitat for our local bird species.

The project is being supported by Landcare Australia, Momentum Energy's Powerful Youth Projects initiative and the Victorian Government's Port Phillip Bay Fund.

Thomas Carrick and Audrey Browne starred on page 2 of the Leader Newspaper last week for our impressive National Tree Day planting efforts!

Our final planting count was over 1,000 trees!

A big thanks again to everyone involved.

The activity was part of our Operation STEAM Clean the Bay (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, Maths) â" a 3 year program generously funded ...

This week the Eco Warriors worked under the guidance of our fabulous parent Green Team to finish our new rain garden at the entrance of the school.

Every Eco Warrior meticulously planted a plant each and learnt all about rain gardens. I had lots of fun planting with my mum and my Aunty and learning all about the different plants we were putt...
