Weekly Walks

Every week the preps go on local walks as part of their unit of inquiry ‘Where we are in place and time’. The central idea is that people create and look after places that are special to them.

This week they visited the Yalukit William Nature Reserve, once part of an extensive swamp. They saw many animals, birds nests and plants. Back in class they watched an episode about Gio Fitzpatrick, who as a teenager worked hard to convince council to preserve this piece of creek and bring it back into it’s original state.

What our parents & students say

"St Columba's is known as the little school with the big heart and you notice that when you first arrive. Every teacher and every student knows your child by name. They offer bespoke learning experiences for children to enjoy while at school."
